Kiribati (pronounced Kiribas) has 33
lowlying coral atolls, subdivided into the Gilbert Islands, the Phoenix and the
Line Islands.
The islands of Kiribati cover 3.5 million kilometres yet
the population is only 85,000 and inhabits just 20 of the 33 atolls. Most
of the Atolls are about six metres above sea level and barrier reefs create
natural lagoons for swimming, snorkeling and fishing. The people of Kiribati
enjoy a peaceful, trainquil life and fishing song,dance and play an
important role in village life.
Climate: Temperature
varies between 25c and 33c. The wet season is December to May. A
gentle sea breeze is predominant from the
eastern quarter.

from comfortable hotels, motels, and lodges to Island
Style.

include Air Marshall Islandsand Air Nauru. Domestic: Air
Kiribati
Entry requirements: Valid passport and
onward ticket. Visas not required for most countries.

Language: Main language is
I-Kiribati. English isunderstood on the Capital, but less so on the outer
islands.
