Details of Progressive Activities

Budget

A draft conference budget has been prepared with a total of K941,000.00, this amount is primarily made up of estimated average cost including airfares, accommodation, functions for delegates, representing Ministers, Officials and their delegates. A submission has been made through the Minister for Tourism to the PNG Events Council for funding to support the conference.

The conference has been endorsed by the NEC as an official 30th Anniversary event, and will be the last official International activity for 2005.

Conference venues and accommodation

The support has been good from the hotel Industry members. This support is in a form of discounted accommodation rates for delegates, as well as support with functions and conference facilities.

 Conference Programme

There are two tentative programs discussed:- an operational program and the main program. The operational program is for the organizers and will contain arrival and departure details of all delegates including SPTO executives, support staff and officials along with other operational elements.

The main conference program is for the delegates that will contain details and the timing of the conference activities.
